Grand Pauper Championship
What is it?
The Grand Pauper Championship is a regular tournament series in Berlin, organized by SpielFilmMusik. The format is Pauper.
The tournament is held every two month and is expected to be 5 or 6 rounds of swiss depending on player count. Top 8 will not be played out. Every tournament results in points that are tracked for the entire season (3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw). Instead of a regular top 8 the finals will be played between the 16 players who gathered the most points throughout the year.
Every player receives at least a booster and part of the entry fee will also be given out as prize support for players making the top cut. There’s also additional sponsoring by Ultimate Guard.
When is it?
The next event will on the 24th of May.
Afterwards we will have an event on the end of each uneven month (next in July) with the finals being in September again. The dates will be announced approx. 4 – 6 weeks in advance to ensure that you have enough time to make room in your calendar, but we’re also not colliding with other events or prereleases.
